Internut is dedicated to experimenting with new technologies to
ensure that our team is moving ahead of the adoption curve in
online
marketing. We challenged ourselves to create a live coupon making
software that showcased the talents of our creative and development
teams. CouponsReady.com would become an idea testing ground to share
with our clients and the industry.
With the growing popularity of interactive online software, the next
logical step in developing successful websites is to bring the
market what it wants: rich, immersive designs with real-time
capabilities where users can play and push their creative limits.
Since the project was intended for b2c applications, the site had to
be a delicate balance between graphical complexity - to entertain,
ease of use - to encourage users to complete their creative process,
and compact - to make sure that load times were kept to a minimum
and ensure pass along. Balancing these factors would provide
CouponsReady.com's hit idea with the right technical medium.
Creative & Execution
CouponsReady.com mapped out the concept, navigation and interface. It was Internut's delight to help shepherd their creative onto the web with our technical expertise. We determined that the best technology to make the idea come to life was Java. Typically used for online gaming, Java provided the dynamic rendering necessary to allow users to build it themselves - as well as to display the dynamic changes. With a penetration rate slightly lower than Flash, it allowed CouponsReady.com to spread the software as far and wide as possible, while maximizing the user experience.
Performance
While the specific results are confidential, they are incredible. A quick Google search for 'coupon maker' will show you CouponsReady.com on the first results page, and several significant publications made note of the buzz the site generated online. Additionally, the site was featured in multiple newspaper articles and has since gone on to being used by other major websites for different purposes notably in the travel industry.
